As Calderwood Christian School continues to grow, we are seeking a passionate and capable Faculty Coordinator – English to provide strategic and instructional leadership within our Secondary School while inspiring a love of language, literature and learning.

Reporting to the Head of Secondary School, you will lead the English faculty, support and mentor staff, drive curriculum development, and foster a culture of excellence in teaching and learning, while helping students flourish academically, spiritually and personally.

About You

You are a passionate Christian educator and emerging or experienced leader who is committed to developing both students and staff. You thrive in a collaborative environment, value strong relationships, and are excited by the opportunity to shape the future direction of English education within a growing Christian school community. 

You will bring:

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation
  • A current paid Working with Children Check
  • Active involvement in a local Christian church
  • Experience in teaching Secondary English, including Stages 4-6
  • Experience in leadership, mentoring and support staff growth
  • Strong curriculum knowledge and experience in curriculum development and review.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A commitment to Christian education and the wider life of the school
  • A desire to continually learn, grow, and contribute to a positive, collaborative and Christ-centred staff culture
