Calderwood Christian School is seeking a hands-on Grounds and Facilities Manager to lead the care and presentation of our growing Prep to Year 12 school, set within the beautiful Calderwood Valley at the foot of the Illawarra escarpment.
This is a practical leadership role where you'll lead a small team, coordinate contractors, and work alongside them to keep the school safe, functional, and consistently well presented.
Candidates must be practicing Christians, actively involved in a Christian Church, and agree with the school's Statement of Faith.
About the Role
You will:
- Lead and support the Grounds & Facilities team
- Remain hands-on with maintenance and grounds work
- Manage contractors and maintenance programs
- Oversee facilities, safety, and compliance (WHS)
- Support school events and operational needs

- Experience in facilities, maintenance, or similar role
- Strong hands-on capability (grounds and general maintenance)
- Leadership experience and ability to prioritise work effectively
- Sound knowledge of WHS practices
- Proactive, reliable, and team-focused

The Details
- Full-time (38 hrs/week - 48 weeks/year)
- Salary aligned with the Christian Schools NSW (Support and Operational) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023 applicable to Illawarra Christian Education (based on experience)
- Some after-hours and weekend work required
