About the Role
We are seeking a committed Christian educator to join our Secondary School English Faculty from Term 2, 2026 (or by negotiation). This is an ongoing 1.0 FTE role, appointed as either:
- English Teacher, or
- Faculty Coordinator – English
depending on the skills, experience, and leadership readiness of the successful applicant.
Both versions of the role include a meaningful teaching load within a highly supportive team. Coordinator responsibilities apply only if the leadership appointment is made.
If Appointed as English Teacher
You will:
- Teach engaging and well-differentiated Secondary English lessons.
- Contribute positively to faculty planning, assessment design, and curriculum development.
- Build strong, caring relationships with students and families.
- Model Christ-like character, professionalism, and a love for learning.
- Actively engage in whole-school life, pastoral care, and co-curricular programs.
If Appointed as Faculty Coordinator – English
You will also:
- Provide instructional and strategic leadership within the English Faculty.
- Mentor and develop staff within a collaborative, supportive team culture.
- Lead curriculum planning and oversee implementation of the Calderwood Curriculum Framework.
- Manage resources, data, and assessment practices to support student achievement.
- Drive innovation and inspire passion for English learning across the school.
This Coordinator role includes a POR Level 1 allowance in addition to salary under the Christian Schools NSW (Teachers) MEA 2023.
About You — Our Ideal Candidate
Whether applying as a Teacher or Coordinator, you will have:
- Relevant teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation (or eligibility).
- A valid, paid Working with Children Check.
- A deep Christian faith and active church involvement.
- A genuine passion for teaching English and supporting student growth.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to professional excellence.
For Coordinator applicants, we are looking for:
- Demonstrated leadership capacity or prior leadership experience.
- Skill in coaching, mentoring, curriculum development, and faculty coordination.
