Early Childhood Educator - Maternity Leave Cover

Calderwood Christian School is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our growing Preparatory Program on a part-time basis. This maternity leave cover position is for 2 days per week (16 hours in total), beginning in Term 2, 2026 and concluding 8 December 2026.
In this role, you will contribute to our nurturing, play-based Prep environment, partnering with a caring team of Christian educators to support the wellbeing and development of our youngest learners.
What you'll do
As an educator in our Prep program, you will:
- Support the social, emotional and developmental needs of young children.
- Deliver engaging, play-based learning aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Use creative, evidence-informed teaching strategies and digital tools.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for all children.
- Collaborate closely with the Prep Director and the Prep Team.
About You
You're a warm, dedicated educator who shares our Christian faith and values. You'll bring:
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Current Working with Children Check (paid)
- Current First Aide Certificate
- A sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional growth.
- A reformed Christian faith and active involvement in a local church.
