Your Role as Junior School Coordinator (3-6)
As Calderwood Christian School continues to grow in response to increasing student enrolments, we are strengthening our leadership team to support this exciting development. We are currently seeking passionate and committed educators and staff to join us in 2026. As the Junior School Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of our students in K-2. Reporting directly to the Head of Junior School, you will embody our vision and values, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters spiritual, academic, and social wellbeing. This position balances a teaching load with leadership responsibilities, allowing you to inspire both students and staff through your commitment to excellence and faith.

- Devout follower of Jesus Christ with a strong Christian worldview.
- Dynamic leader with a heart for mentoring and developing staff.
- Proficient in K-6 NSW Curriculum with a strategic mindset.
- Experienced communicator and advocate for a positive school culture.
- Hold relevant tertiary teaching qualifications from a recognised institution.
- A valid, paid Working with Children Check.
- Evidence of teacher accreditation from the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)

Salary & Benefits
This full-time, ongoing position (1.0 FTE with up to a 0.8 FTE teaching load) offers a competitive salary in accordance with the Christian Schools NSW (Teachers) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023. Additionally, this role includes a Position of Responsibility allowance (POR Level 1) to recognize your leadership within the school.

Interested candidates are invited to submit a cover letter, resume, and complete the application form online. - Shortlisting
Applications are reviewed by our HR and leadership team. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview. - Interview - Round 1
Shortlisted candidates will participate in an initial panel interview, which will explore professional experience, educational philosophy, and personal faith journey. Candidates will also be asked to complete a task relevant to the role. - Reference Checks
We contact professional and pastoral referees to gain further insight into the candidate’s suitability and alignment with our school’s values. - Interview - Round 2
Final interviews will be conducted with a panel including the School Principal and a member/s of the Board. This stage will focus on theological understanding and alignment with the school’s Statement of Faith. - Offer of Employment
Successful candidates will receive a formal offer and onboarding information. - Onboarding & Induction
New staff participate in an induction program to support their integration into our school community.
